Engine Company Responds Mutual Aid to Belmar

On Feb 14, 2017 at approximately 1400 hrs the engine company responded mutual aid to Belmar for a 3rd Alarm fire in the Belmar Seaport Marina on 5th Avenue….

Multiple boats and one structure were involved in fire. Fire suppression efforts were hampered by hazardous materials burning requiring the use of Class B foam. Long Branch firefighters were requested to the scene with their foam trailer to supplement foam operations. The foam trailer, housed at Long Branch Fire Headquarters, carries approximately 600 gallons of foam and can deployed by the uniformed fire division to any scene throughout the county at a moments notice.
