We’d like to give a shout-out to one of our guys. FF Dave Phillips was at dinner in town this weekend when he heard someone yell for help. Dave found a man unresponsive on the sidewalk and immediately started CPR. Due to Dave’s efforts, the man was transported to Monmouth Medical Center and is alive today. Nice work, Dave!
FMBA Local 68 is proud to announce a huge milestone. Over the course of the past 5 years we have donated $101,765.71 to various organizations within our community. Our Community Trust fund was established by the members of Local 68 as a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. We raise money for various charities, sports organizations and education scholarships located within the City of Long Branch. We are all very proud to break the $100,000.00 mark.
We thank all of our supporters who come out to our fundraisers to help make this possible. Each year has been more successful than the previous year. With your help, we hope to break another milestone in a short period of time. Show us your support by liking and sharing this post.
It is with a very heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our dear friend and brother, Firefighter Kevin Hoy #142 (Ret.). Kevin was hired in 1982 and was the longtime backbone of this division. His presence is truly irreplaceable. We love you, “Pop-Pop”. Rest in peace.
