On Monday August 22, 2016 the Engine and Truck responded to an address on Morris Avenue for a reported fire.
Upon arrival heavy smoke was pushing from an apartment doorway on the Delta side of the building. The 2nd Alarm was transmitted bringing in all off-duty members on a recall as well as mutual aid from numerous bordering towns. The body of fire was found to be in that rear doorway as well as extending up the exterior wall and into the upstairs apartment. The main body of fire was knocked down quickly, but companies chased pockets of fire as they overhauled most of the Charlie and Delta sides of the building. No injuries were reported and units were clear in approximately 90 minutes. Companies that responded were City of Asbury Park, Neptune Twp (Unexcelled RIT), West Long Branch, Monmouth Beach and Sea Bright (House Coverage).
